How to use a prepaid phone card with a cell phone?

I’m trying to call someone overseas with a prepaid AT&T phone card using my cell phone. It’s a T-mobile Samsung Gravity.
I can dial the phone number on the card, but when it asks me to dial the phone card’s number, a screen pops up as if I’m dialing a totally different number. When I use a regular phone (which we no longer have) it accepts the numbers I dial. How do I get the phone card numbers to register without dialing?

I think your phone is spoilt , because a T-mobile phone should accept a AT&T sim as long as it is unlocked , check if your phone is unlocked .

I have a prepaid plan with alltel, but prepaid plans can be pretty expensive compared to a contract plan.

Best phone I have is with Net 10, the card for this phone is $ 30.00 For 300 min.

t-mobile. virgin mobile is a bit cheaper but u dont get as good signal as t-mobile. the cheapest u can get a minute is 10 cents. u can buy a 100 dollar card with 1000 minutes
