Buying directly from the wholesale supplier would save your money and time. Visit any B2B website and search for the suppliers of the product you are looking for. iPods are licensed and ONLY manufactured and distributed by Apple. I don’t believe there is a “wholesale” supplier as Apple tightly manages the supply chain. Cellphones you might have a little more luck on but the supply chain there is fairly well tied up also.

A couple of alternative sources that might be worth checking out would be liquidation auctions where you have to buy things by the pallete. You have to be very careful here and know EXACTLY what it is that you are buying. But if a distributor goes out of business or has a fire then the adjusters may choose to liquidate surplus or smoke/heat damaged stock at a fraction of the original price. Another source for smaller quantities would be the periodic unclaimed goods sales at your local police department. Sometimes things are sold individually or in larger lots and you can get some awesome bargains there – go ask at the front desk or call to see when the next one is. You are usually helping a good cause as the funds are often used to support police families losing a spouse and/or local charities.
