I want a cell phone but they do not have the model I want. I want one of those old 80′s “Brick” style phones. I don’t like tiny models with all those fancy features. Bigger and simpler is perfect for me. Does anyone know where to purchase one of these phones and activate it for use? Thanks!
To SIMMY – No I meant 80′s style.

lol. You mean 90′s not 80′s.

If your interested in the bigger phones that aren’t high tech you can visit a t-mobile dealer or indirect dealer nearest you. They should be able to help you with all your needs. I have a candy bar phone its awesome. I love it! The phone that would probably interest you is the NOKIA 6010 its good reliable and in color. With a new activation it should be FREE but no more then 20 dollars. Hope that helped.

No, i thing the asker meant the 80′s ones. Start your search for thouse old big boys at thrift stores and goodwill. I doubt they will work with today’s 3G all-digital networks though.

Cellular networks are designed only to work with certain phone types and brands. To my knowledge no network will support that old style phone any more.

The old brick style was an analog phone which aren’t used anymore.

You may have a tough time getting service; those brick phones probably use the older analog network exclusively. I believe the newer stuff is all digital and incompatible with analog only phones. Someone may want to check me on that…

Here our crazy(?) friend brings her plush friend to see the ema at the Meiji Shrine. Ema (絵馬) are small wooden plaques on which Shinto worshippers write their prayers or wishes. The ema are then left hanging up at the shrine, where the kami (spirits or gods) receive them. Ema are sold for various wishes. Common reasons for buying a plaque are for success in work or on exams, marital bliss, to have children, and health. Some shrines specialize in certain types of these plaques, and the larger shrines may offer more than one. Sales of ema help support the shrine financially.

I’m looking for a cell phone that works in Hungary? What should I look for? What type of cell phone technology is used in Hungary?

Answer by Yash B
Nokia N95
Apple iPhone
LG Prada and many more

If you want to buy one cheaper, you can mail me for details.

Answer by K
Yash, no.

Any cell phone running on a GSM network will work internationally. However, depending on the country, you can actually take a regular phone overseas. The new BlackBerry World Edition phone is great and specifically designed for the continent-hopper. And as a plus, it runs about 50% more efficiently purely because the number of towers is fewer and the GSM mode demands far less of the phone.

Cell Phones, Cancer and the Dangers of Risk Perception
May 31, 2011, was a bad day for a society already wary of all sorts of risks from modern technology, a day of celebration for those who champion more concern about those risks, and a day that teaches important lessons about the messy subjective guesswork that goes into trying to make intelligent choices about risk in the first place, for policy makers or for you and me. The International Agency …
