Verizon customers: is there any form of free cell phone replacement?

Basically, my phone is two years ancient and I was wondering if Verizon Wireless offers new phones to its customers every few years like some wireless companies do. I just didn’t feel like coming up on hold for 45 minutes or browsing through hundreds of pages of contractual papers to find out. Thanks!

See if your enrolled in a program called “New After Two”. Its like a $ 100 credit for a new phone.

Yes they have a plot called new every two. You should qualify for it. Check out http://www.verizonwireless.com for more details. Yo do need to sign a new contract though, but the new plans they have are better than the ones they had two years ago.

really all companies ahve an upgradwe plot so if you go online you’ll probably be able tof igure out if you already qualify for an upgrade and if you do. you can replace your phone

Yes, verizon offers deal where every 2 years you can up grade your phone. my husband and I have had verizon for at least 6 years and we upgrade to new phones every 2 years per our contract. Never a conundrum with them any. Excellent Luck. go to a dealer though, that way you can look at what they have and sometimes you can get pretty sweet deals in person.

You have the new after two which gives you $ 100 towards a new phone if you sign a contract, but if you havent had your phone for two years or you dont want to sign another contract take it into a store and they should replace it for free. At least they did mine. Just make sure your phone didnt get wet because it that is the deal breaker. Excellent luck.

Palm Treo was the state of the art when it was introduced years back, more than what I was asking for. With all the progress, I still feel it is excellent enough for me, and went so far to bid for a replacement of my battered & abused one, instead of "upgrading" to the newer-and-betters.

I have a motorola v300 and a pay as you go plot from I reckon cingular. All the info should be on that small card behind the battery on my v300. Can I go that small card to any cell phone and keep my number and pay as you go plot?

You cant keep the plot I dont reckon but yes the SIM card will transfer over to the new phone, but requires initiation.
