What is a cheap, prepaid brand of cell phone that I could buy so my girlfriend and I can talk?

In a situation everywhere my girlfriend and I are not really allowed to talk to each other on the phone and I wanted to buy two cheap cell phones with prepaid plans for us so we may stay in communication (mostly via texting), what would be a excellent, cheap brand or service?

Check virgin mobile. They have cheap phones and they give you a small airtime when you buy a phone

Try Tracfone.

It’s prepaid, no contract, cheap minutes, decent coverage, inexpensive basic phones.

I’m able to buy for less than 9 cents each!
