What would be a cheap and reliable international prepaid cell phone?

I will hopefully be traveling to England, Ireland, and Welsh this summer for twenty or thirty days.

I’m traveling to Spain next spring and want to buy a prepaid phone here in the US… What would you guys recommend I do? I’m plotting on making calls Spain-US and Spain-Spain, is there something out there that can work for me? Thanks in enhancement for your help!

By the way, I recently bought a tracfone prepaid cell phone, I know I can make calls internationally, but I’m not sure if I can use the cell phone while abroad.. any help would be much appreciated, thanks and have a fantastic day!
