Walnart, or Chinatown.

wal-mart is a excellent house to go. if you are looking for a cell phone that can do many things then i would suggest the Samsung Straight Talk R451C phone. it has a full sliding QWERTY keyboard, 1.3 megapixel camera, an MP3 player (this is external storage), text and picture messaging and mobile web access. you can buy the 30$ card for 1000 minutes and texts and 30 MB of mobile web accsess. 45$ card gives you unlimited minutes, texts and mobile web.
there is also the tracfone, which can send messages and call. this one is very cheap. you should be able to find this at walmart.
i believe it is possible to get an iphone 3G without a contract, but im not sure if it would be cheap.
hope you find one that works for you!

I work with cellular company called Consumer Cellular and you can get a basic phone for free along with a no-contract plans that start at $ 10/month. It also is not prepaid. In fact, if you should ever go over your monthly limit, Consumer Cellular will automatically say you through our free usage alert system. You can then change your plot as needed, retroactively, without any additional fees. Consumer Cellular also has a 30 day/30 minute money back guarantee, meaning that you receive a full refund if you choose to cancel within the first 30 days or 30 minutes of use, whichever comes first. Visit us at consumercellular.com or give us a call at 1-888-345-5509 if you have any questions!

Pink and Blue

I did not specifically choose the color of any of these. The Nano and the camera were cheapest in those colors, the phone and bluetooth thingie were my mom’s, and the blue DS was the only one left. I’d buy purple things if I had the choice, so I estimate half pink and half blue works out.
Thanks to my mom for the emergency cell…I’m sure the next time I get a flat on the way to school it will come in handy!
10 things killed by the smartphone
Cisco’s recent announcement that it was closing its Flip mini-camcorder business got us thinking. But how many other consumer products and services — digital or analog — are being killed off by the huge, terrible smartphone?
