Where is the best place to find a used Verizon cell phone?

I’m looking around for a decent cell phone for verizon. I’ve found numerous used phones, but all at ridiculously high prices. I know that it’s going to be a lot more expensive at the store retail price, but is there somewhere you know of that has reasonable-ish prices?

I got a hardly-used Samsung Gleam on eBay and I was really pleased with it (in anticipation of I got a Droid!).

On eBay, the only phones that are Verizon-compatible will really have a Verizon logo on them.

Before you buy any phone, question the seller for the phone’s ESN digit, then check with Verizon to make sure the phone’s not lost or stolen.

Once you get the phone, call Verizon and they will switch you free of charge (assuming you already have a contract with them – if you don’t, I’m not sure what they would charge you).

i dont want to pay much at the store. so im looking for a used phone, i have a verizon account already but lost my phone.

You can keep the same phone digit but your contacts are gone. When you get the phone, just call verizon customer care and question them to do an “ESN switch” to your new phone. The contacts, though, were stored on your ancient phone so they’re gone.

If you ever downloaded backup assistant on your ancient phone, just download it on the new one and it will restore your contacts. Even if you never did before its a excellent thought with the new one just in case something happens to it.

And yeah you can activate a new phone on your plot. Just make sure its a verizon phone (t-mo or AT&T wont work), and make sure the seller gives you the esn digit to call verizon and make sure its not stolen before you buy it. If it is, it cant be activated. Any legit seller will give you the esn/meid digit.
