VOIP to cell phone router....?

Im moving to Korea and will have internet. I would like to use a “device” that will route my voip calls through a sim chip (same as in a cell phone) and have it set to call my local cell phone so basically i can receive calls from my family in america and not have to be at my house and th only charge would be the local cell charges (maybe free if same network?) So here’s a little schematic of how this would work….
Internet —-> computer (and compatible voip software) —-> device with sim card slot that is set to call a number —–> my cell phone /// I remember hearing about such a device about 9 months ago but cant remember where i read about it or what it was called. so if anyone can point me in the right direction i’d appreciate it. thanks!!!!

um.. why dun u you use skype calls?

your family can use skype to call your cell phone……
the charges are generally cheaper than IDD/International calls…….

i currently use a pocket pc phone. it has skype software installed….. so i can use GPRS network or wifi to connect to internet and can connect to SKYPE. I can call my contacts on Skype by using my pocket pc phone too….

Can anybody help me out please? My bf who lives in the UK used to text me on my cell phone (I live in Turkey) using his voip account; I recently got a new cell number (same provider) and since then his texts sent via voip cannot reach me anymore:((((( Anyone knows WHY and HOW to solve it? Does it depend on the phonev ‘message settings’ maybe? Or else? Thanx:)

If your phone doesn’t support Voice-over IP, it can’t send or receive any file of that type. I recommend that he sends it in a different format.
