Is there any point in buying a dual band home router if my home wireless phones are 5Ghz?
Looking at export a DLink N wireless home router that is dual band (2.4Ghz and 5Ghz). If my home phones are all 5Ghz is there any point in export a dual band router? Whenever the router switches to 5Ghz it will just interfere with my telephones, wont it?
Answer by Michael
The weird thing is no, they won’t interfere. Not necessarily. I’m running a 2.4GHz wireless keyboard and mouse, and 2.4GHz WiFi, and they don’t interfere. You should be fine.
Besides, even if by a dual band router doesn’t work, you’ll get better quality from that DLink than a cheaper brand.

Iv heard of certain frequencies the phones require to work on certain a skin condition do to tower outputs of frequency.. I desire to know what unlocked imported phones work in Miami FL by the METROpcs wireless phone company.. nokia has an estimate of 15 new unlocked phones… which would work with metro now?
Answer by Psych Department
They do not.
MetroPCS is cheap enough to make sure that ONLY their phones are usable with their service. You can’t use other phones with their service, nor can you use their phones for other services.
It doesn’t matter if it’s unlocked.
MetroPCS doesn’t have SIM cards, and you will not be able to activate your unlocked phone.

Health campaigners say parents are taking the view that the security that handsets provide outweighs the possible hurt caused to young brains from radiation. Statistics from international research consultancy MobileYouth show that just over a million children aged five to nine in the UK have their own phones. That figure is predicted to rise to 1.5million by 2007. It also predicts that this year the digit of under-16s in the UK owning a mobile phone will grow to 5.5million – an increase of nearly half a million on last year. The average age at which a child gets a first phone is eight – compared to 12 in the US. Youngsters are thought to be at higher risk from mobile phone radiation because their nervous system is still developing, they absorb more energy though their head and are liable to be exposed to emissions for more being. Sir William Stewart, chairman of the Health Protection Agency, has called on parents to ban under-eights from by mobile phones and desires teenagers to restrict their use and rely more on sending text messages. www.emfnews.org www.emfnews.org
