How would you rate a Firefly cell phone on a scale of 1-10? Why?
My cousin is going to buy a cell phone with her babysitting money, and she desires a Firefly cell. How would you rate it?
Answer by stormalert
I would give it an 8. My cousin has a Firefly. He’s in 3rd Grade. It uses Cingular networks. 20 Facts can be programmed into the memory that you can call and those (up to) 20 facts can call in to the phone. There are no facts on it, all you do is scroll through the contacts in anticipation of you get to the digit you want to call. It’s pretty simple and a pretty excellent phone. Kind of small for my taste. I would recommend it for kids in anticipation of they’re about 10 or 11, then they should get a real phone (prepaid or plot).

for me? i would give it a 1. I am really not intersted in it. I reckon that you just dont get the same things that you could get a normal phone (thats doubtless even cheaper). It depends on how ancient she is. If she is 11 and younger. that possibly a phone for her. If she is a teenager diffenatly a no

Phone 25¢

Is there anything that feels more of an anachronism in the modern world than a phone booth?
Despite the bright color and attention grabbing techniques employed on this payphone, something still screams quaint about a 25 cent phone call in 2010. What is the inflation rate to 1970? That’s a hell of a deal in modern times.
I estimate they have to make a call a deal when you can walk up to a weirder, any weirder, and question to burrow their cell phone. And this seems to happen to me all the time. With as often as they are whipped out and as prevalent as they have be converted into, it’s hard to claim that you don’t own a cell phone when questioned.
That’s if you bother lying, and I don’t. The certainty is I can say no and you can question the next person you see in Davis Square to burrow their phone. They are more than liable to help.
At the very least they will give you the quarter it costs to use a pay phone.
Didn’t question for a dime,

We have basically just printed one trillion dollars over night, is that not crazy? I’ve heard the FED Chair Ben Bernanke talk about this before, about how they will start raising interest rates just as, or before the economy starts getting better so as to keep inflation under control. I would say that they are going to need some perfect timing. And like Glenn Beck said, I hope that they succeed, for all of our sakes. jbranstetter04 Fed to pump nearly .2 trillion into the financial system WASHINGTON — The Federal Reserve made it clear Wednesday that it will do whatever it takes to end the worst US downturn since the Fantastic Depression, announcing new plans to pump nearly .2 trillion into the financial system, including a historic commitment to buy up to 0 billion in longer-term Treasury securities. As part of its unexpectedly aggressive plot, the Fed also committed to hold a key interest rate essentially at zero “for an extended period” and to buy up to another 0 billion in mortgage-backed securities and debt. The actions could quickly turn into lower borrowing costs for home buyers, homeowners and businesses — and that, in turn, could help get the stalled economy moving again. The Dow Jones industrial average surged 91 points, to 7487, on news of the Fed’s actions. Interest rates on …
