How to get international cell phone coverage/ rental?

Going on a Medditeranean Cruise for 12 days at the end of July. Looking to get 4 phones that will hopefully work the entire trip (begins and ends in Barcelona). Since verizon prices are very steep for international coverage was hoping to rent the phones in Europe. Does anyone know anything about how to go about this or even how the pricing is?

depending on your phone you may be able to get it unlocked for international use.

If you already have a multiband phone, you should be okay…it’s probably going to cost about the same to get a rental, anyway. I would just stick with it, then you have all your phone numbers with you and you are using your own number.

Otherwise, you could rent a phone, just do a search. You ought to be able to find something pretty easily. They rent them to go with rental cars, so you could check with a rental agency, the ads are linked up to their pages sometimes.

How big is your company today and how big will it be in a few years? Do you have international tax issues to deal with? Does your “international” include multiple countries or just two, for example, are you close to a border and only dealing with US and Canada or US and Mexico?

If your company is small and has only US or US/CN or US/MX tax issues to deal with you could start out with a smaller CPA firm that is willing to help you grow and will introduce you to larger firms as you need them.

I have done that with clients who started out small. When they reached a certain size I introduced them to people at the international CPA firms like Ernst & Young or Price Waterhouse.
