How long can a TMOBILE T 809 T809 SLIDER GSM CELL PHONE last after its been sittining in water for 15 minutes?

I place it on my charger about 30 minutes later without a battery last night, and now in the afternoon I place it the battery in the phone while it’s was charging. The screen still looks like it has water inside it, only the right side of my digit’s work, is this phone broken, or does it still need some time to dry?

I reckon it died about 1/100 of a second after hitting the water.

Hope you had insurance, friend.

sorry but this phone sounds like its a write off, hope you have insurance!

Phones naturally dont last when they get wet, honestly you shouldnt have even tried to turn it on but should have taken it appart and left it to dry for at least 3-4 days.

What do you reckon? Answer below!

Is Motorola RAZR a GSM phone or CDMA phone?

TMobile runs GSM network and sprint runs CDMA network. But both of them sell RAZR phone. So?

What does it mean for a cell phone to be 3G ready?

Answer by jrott_2003
Motorola makes 2 versions of the phone, a GSM version which Cingular and T-Mobile use and a CDMA Version which Sprint and Verizon use.
You will see 3g listed on some GSM Phones, Cingular provides 3g service in some area’s, 3g will give you a quicker transfer rate of data
T-Mobile should be offering 3g service in the future
3g will not be on a CDMA phone, for CDMA data network it will be list as EVDO

If you buy the RAZR from Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Alltel, you’ll use digital CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) which was developed my the military back in the cold war days. CDMA now comes in two flavors.
CDMA 1XRTT – Voice and digital speeds up to 155 Kbps.
CDMA EVDO Rev A – High Speed digital, naturally used by phones for all of your data applications like navigation, music/video downloads, games, services (weather, traffic, etc).

GSM is a more traditional time slot technology used because it was supposedly a quicker migration to digital back in the ahead of schedule 1990′s and didn’t require the cellular wireless equipment manufacturers and cell phone makers to pay royalties to the patent holder of CDMA (Qualcomm).

In the race to get to the promote, CDMA was considered technically superior with higher data transmission rates but GSM is used primarily in Europe.

3G Ready was the term used back in the 1990′s up to now to refer to unfilled cell phone networks running digital data and voice.

the next buzzword you’l hear is 4G… that will doubtless be more VOIP based exclusively. Some of the unfilled 3G Networks are really already running on IP networks, but in a fusion mode since they are backwards compatible.

If you’re into data transmission speeds, it’s doubtless a excellent thought to see for yourself how each device (whether it’s a PDA, PCMCIA Card, or USB Card) works at your local Best Buy or Circuit City.

Verizon Wireless has a “Test Drive” program for it’s regular voice phones everywhere you use the phone for a couple of days/week….if you don’t like it return it. But I’m not sure if the same program is available for all devices/cards. Again, best thing to do is to check out the devices/deals at each particular store.

Give your answer to this question below!
Verizon: More breaches but less data lost. Huh?!
Hacking, malware, and physical attacks such as ATM and gas pump skimming are the most standard methods for stealing data, report says.
