Can I use my Nextel sim card to any unlocked cell phones?

Hi, My nextel phone was broken and I am by Nextel service. I just upgraded my plot last March with Nextel Service with new phone, unfortunately this phone Motorola i776 is already broken. I went to Sprint service center and advice me to just buy a new one because they can repair my phone anymore. My questions are:

1. Can I just buy any unlocked phones either like unlocked Motorola, Nokia, Samsung and use it to replace my broken nextel phone and just insert my sim? Will the phone works with my nextel sim?

2. How about if I will buy a tri-band motorola phone to replace my broken phone and just insert my nextel sim?

3. I saw this Nextel/Boost i465 and attracted about it. But most of the online stores sell only i465 for Boost Mobile, there are also some promotion unlocked Nextel/Boost i465. I am worried if I buy it, it won’t work with my nextel sim. Will it work with my nextel sim?

I also don’t know what kind of cell phones that is compatible with my nextel service.

sorry for too much questions since I am not expert with it.

I’ve been searching online about nextel phones but mostly those are with the plot. I can’t find any store that only sell cellphones. Delight advice me what to buy since I can’t use my phone anymore.

I’m looking to buy a used Cell phone on Nextel service and I want to be sure that the phone is not stolen and can be activated. Is there any way of doing this? The phone is an 8350i Blackberry Curve.

Delight do make sure you call Sprint/Nextel and read them the facts on the back of the phone or battery (the serial digit) and they will tell you…
bc if its reported stolen, they wont activate it for you..

Anyone who sell a used cell phone should provide the original box and manual. If they don’t have this, stay clear!

I would say to just go to the store and get one. There is so many ppl who sell stolen cells i wouldnt trust it. I reckon if you replace the memory card, or w/e the small chip in the back of it, even if it is stolen you should’nt have any problems. But there are ways of someone tracing their stolen cell. So to be safe, just get a new one, even if its a cheap new one. Hope this helps:o)
