Why does cell phone prices go down?

After a couple of months/being, there price tends to go down? Why is this so?
Same thing for electronics.

because they could be grown-up model and there just trying to sale them by making them cheap also there could be a special sale going on(this goes for phones,videogames,etc.)

The promote is already saturated with that type of phone so the demand is down. There are also new phones to compete with and they have to lower costs again… they cannot compete with a better phone at the same price so they need to be cheaper.

plus research and enhancement costs are absorbed by initial sales… New technology is expensive because the company spent alot of money to make new features
