if i lost my cell phone, how can i track it? if someone stole my phone and is using it, and they take out the sim card from my phone, would you still be able to track my phone without its sim card???

The provider will not track an IMEI (serial number) for you, even if it’s your own phone.

I am not an old fart but I did have a pager when I was fourteen but even then you needed to get to a phone once you’ve received the page. Now, with cell phones you are constantly trackable and if you don’t answer there needs to be a reason why you didn’t. Sigh, it’s a great, necessary device…that follows you everywhere. Does that ever bother you?

It does bother me that people are able to track me down anywhere and expect for you to answer your cell phone. If it were your home phone you could just let it ring and they might think you’re just not there, but with cell phones they figure you’ve always got them on you and then you feel obligated to pick up. Truly does bug me sometimes.

Yup, it bugs me a lot. I usually keep my cell phone off when I’m at home, and I don’t even have a landline, I just don’t like to be bothered
