Is there any way to find the best cell phone reception zone in a very low reception house or building.?

I have Cingular and I get full bars everywhere except my home. I was thinking of gettin Bluetooth and leaving the phone at a spot everywhere I get maximum signal and just use the headset all around the house.

You already know the best answer. Had same conundrum with basement and T-mobile. Got a razr with Bluetooth, and now can talk nearly anywhere. A different option is a house phone that they sell, that switches to your cell phone and back and forth through bluetooth to save you money on your bills…Nighttime minutes..:)…Reckon Uniden makes it…

The top of the Eiffel Tower is way up there. I took this for Mike because he originally didn’t reckon he could go out on the top level and see it himself. (I later talked him into going out there. For about 2 minutes.)

I am a former AT&T customer and I need to upgrade my phone. Only one conundrum. I live in a very rural setting and need a phone that has a jack for an external antenna. I now have a Nokia with just that but it is an ancient phone that doesn’t pick up digital signals. I go to the cingular store and their representatives don’t know what phones they have that have a jack for an external antenna. I’ve been told that Nokia is the best for reception. Can anyone help me find a phone that will meet my requirements, I do not have a home phone and depend on cell service. I can’t stress enough that I “must” be able to use and external antenna.

it’s really the service that will get you a excellent reception, most of the time–the phone i got free for adding a line to my plot is fantastic, but if you don’t need anything too like i’d just go for something with a retractable antenna. excellent luck! ;)

Call Nokia and question them for what you need. The manufacturers phone digit is 888-665-4228. They certainly will be able to help you out..
