Deactivating an old phone and activating a new phone, does it affect other phones on your plan?
by juicyrai
Me and my sister just got new phones that at home now. I want to activate mine, but my sister has been away since yesterday and didn’t get her new phone. She needs to use her ancient one. So if I deactivate MY phone by activating my new one, will that also deactivate her’s? We ordered them at the same time and we are in the same plot and eligible to upgrade.
*We have Verizon.

No… even though both phones were ordered at the same time, the both carry SEPERATE Terms of Service and Contracts. Both needs to be accepted either seperately or at teh same time (your choice) before the phone becomes active.
So, the wrap should have come with an 800# to call to activate the phones and accept Terms of Service and Contracts. When you call it, it will question for your phone digit.. Enter it in. Listen to the robot girl clarify you terms and service and contracts. Accept it.. 1-2 minutes later your new phone (and SIM card if you have a GSM carrier) is activated. It will then question you if you have other facts and devices to activate. Say No… Let your sister call the 800# when she gets back home so her new phone (and SIM card, if any) can get activated..
Excellent luck and delight in

Hello. I have the LG EnV Touch. The touch screen is broken, and I took it to the store. They’re sending me a new one in the mail by Monday. They told me that if I bring in both my ancient and new phones, they could transfer pictures and contacts to the new phone in the store. I never remember them being able to transfer pictures, so is this right? Also, if it is, is there a charge, and how much? Thanks in enhancement.
