Are there any free web based programs that offer free text messages to cell phone numbers?

I am nearly looking for something similar to e-mail, but something everywhere I could send messages to cell phone users over the internet without really having a text plot with my phone.

Yes, Rediff BOL is a IM (Instant Messenger) like Yahoo or MSN. It’s an associated application with rediffmail (www.rediffmail.com).

By this Rediff BOL IM you can send SMS to any mobile digit in India.

Yep. Hundreds of the things. Sites like wadja.com, sheriffratings.com or monkeymaximus.com do the job just fine – depending on which country you want to send free sms to.
