Family Cell Phone Plans - Suggestions?

Family Cell Phone Plans - Suggestions?

My family is attracted in purchasing a cell phone family plot; does anyone have any suggestions for a plot that is cheap (maximum $ 60 a month) with average-term coverage (no more than a 2-year agreement)?

Or, would it be cheaper to buy a pre-paid service? There are only 3 of us who now need a cell phone, so does anyone have any strong recommendations?

I’m aware of the various services out there, but do not know whether there are hidden costs, etc.

Any help would be much appreciated. I thank you in enhancement.

While Verizon has a monopoly, along with Cingular, on Wireless advertising, there are overall 4 carriers worth looking at.
Pros/Cons of each:
Verizon: Excellent coverage, doubtless the best, honest cell phones, expensive plans, so-so Customer Service, and I have heard many horror storys about Verizon, I have also had terrible experiances my self.
Verizon does not have a Family plot under $ 69.99 a month, so I would not advise them
Cingular: Honest coverage in a lot of seats, but often get 1-2 bars and a lot of dropped calls. (While Cingular claims to have the least dropped calls, no study has been realeased, and their “leading research company” has never been identified, so there are many doubts weather this is right) They have some of the worst Customer care in the buisness, but they have a large coverage area, and somewhat competitive prices. Personaly, I would not advice them, but you can pick what you want.
They offer 550 Min a month for $ 59.99 a month
Sprint/Nextel: Their coverage is less then what should be expected from the 3rd leading nationally carrier. They offer medium priced phone and somewhat honest plans, but I would not advise them.
Sprint/Nextel (one company) offers 550 Min for $ 59.99 a month
T-mobile: While their coverage isen’t as excellent as Verizon, and isen’t as wide spread as Cingular, T-mobile has some of the best coverage in the game. They have many roaming agreements with Cingular, meaning they can use Cingular’s network when they don’t have a tower near somehwere.
Place your adress in: www.t-mobile.com/coverage
If you get excellent service at your house/work, I would go with T-mobile. They have the best Customer Care in the buisness that will work with you as much as they can to help you out. They are only the 4th largest wireless company in the US, and have 1/2 the customer base that Cingular/At&T has, but they are owned by European Deutsche Telekom, meaning that their funding is coming from a large company. Overall, I have had the best experiance with T-mobile, and that is who I have been by for being. They offer cheap phones, and recantly came out with MyFaves
For $ 59.99 you get 700 Minutes a month (150 more then the other companys) plus you get unlimited night calling (starting at 9pm) and weekened calling (friday at 9 to monday at 6am)
The nights and weekends are also offered by Cingular, Sprint, and Verizon
If you spend $ 69.99 a month, T-mobile offers a plot called Myfaves. Each line can place in 5 facts to a special program on their phone, and they can call those facts, unlimited, for free. You can change it once per calander month (once in Jan, once in Feb, etc…) it is a very nice slick plot. I hope I helped. If you want to know more, you can e-mail me at nwahsnwahs018@yahoo.com

November 8, 2009: The nose-dive
cell phone family plans

Mrs.Thomas and I took the nose-dive and upgraded to new phones with internet data plans. Wow, those prices are a bit higher than our 9.5 year ancient super simple family plot.

OK, so my parents have a verizon family plant and i will get a cell phone hopefully from them (soon if i am responsible) how much does it cost to add a line to that family plot? Also, will the phone cost anything or will it come with the plot, or what?

Delight try not to use too many links i have used the verizon web page already.

Thank you &hearts

You doubtless will have to pay for the phone. Idk
It is ten dollars for each additional line after two shape.
Unlimited verizon to verizon text is 10 dollars, btw.

From what I remember, it’s $ 9.99 to add another line and yes, you have to pay for the phone. Very often, though, there is a rebate or a sale going on and you can get the phone for very cheap or free. It might depend on what the store has in stock.
