Virgin Mobile isn’t all that terrible. I used it for a while. Their phones are excellent.

Cingular go-phone. The roll-over minutes are fantastic!

I used to have a Cingular pre-paid plot. It’s really excellent IF most of your contacts are Cingular, too. It was the dollar-a-day pre-paid plot.
PROS:
-Only $ 1 for the whole day IF all calls made were to Cingular users
-Does not charge as much as other carriers when you call outside of the network ($ 0.10/min)
-Only charges ($ 0.05) for text messages
-When you reload, it rolls over
CONS:
-10 cents a minute plus the dollar per day for calling outside your network
-You get charged for receiving text messages
-Cingular sends a free alert after EVERY call or text messages. It becomes annoying after a while
-The money you place into your minutes expire after certain digit of days depending on how much you loaded in (ex. $ 15 card=30 days, $ 25=90 days and so on)
Overall, it worked pretty excellent because most of my contacts were Cingular. It worked nearly as if I had a plot and it sometimes cost less than if I did have a plot.

Well, I should know because I did a college research paper searching for the best pre paid cell phone service and I found out that the best service is Alltel’s U Pre-Paid Service. You can choose to pay by the day, minute, or month. So I tried the Alltel’s pay-per-day and u get to choose 2 free items (free nights and weekends, free unlimted text messaging, call your favorite digit for free, or unlimted mobile to moblie w/any alltel digit). The other 2 features cost .25 cents each. So I tried it for a month and I saved 55% on my cell phone bill. Customer Service is execellent and you can choose any phone that Alltel offers…sorry that this is so long but I hope i helped you out..

What do you reckon? Answer below!
Just wondering♥ bcuz my sis has a pre-paid phone it’s Verizon I reckon and she told me that she got text messaging taken off bcuz it was by up all her money on the phone but I didnt reckon she could do that with a pre-paid phone. Can she?
She says it charges her when she even receives a text.

yea she can stop by it but it cant be taken off
Answer by Angel K
I have heard that it can be taken off. Call customer care and question if it can be removed. If it can, question to remove/block it on the prepaid account.

Absolutely!!! As far as kajeet and virgin mobile go!
My daughters both have added and taken texting off.
They now only use the texting packages as opposed to the talking.
It is up to you!
I would be sooooooo surprised if verizon did not offer this as well!!
Especially with prepay. That’s what my girls have.
You should doubtless phone and speak to someone and question exactly what you want for your phone!

Air controllers need fortitude in demanding job
Air traffic controllers have been painted in a series of recent media reports as dozing, sleepy-eyed slackers. But they are also obsessed with safety — and are rapid-talking, snap-thinking, proud perfectionists.

The Jitterbug J SPHA310ZRA Pre Paid Cell Phone is extremely intuitive and customizable. Only see the features you want. The lower part of the show screen, called the “Command Area”, displays simple ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ questions that make by the phone very simple. For example, if you’re by your Phone Book and the name of your friend or family member is highlighted, the Command Area will show the question, “CALL?” To house the call, simply press the “Yes” key or use the scroll key to go to the next entry in your Phone Book, just like changing channels on a TV remote. Also, the battery provides up to 4 hours of continuous talk time before needing to be rejuvenated, depending upon how much you use your Jitterbug and the cellular radio signal in your area.
