It varies upon your area….
some services arent avalible in all areas.

You could get a Tracfone, but if you use a cell phone on a regular basis that will not be your cheapest option. Those are primarily for people who want to have a cell phone in case of emergency but will rarely use it.
It’s also not possible for people to give you an accurate answer to your question since their usage and rates will differ from yours.
Instead, go to this website:
http://www.myrateplan.com/wireless_plans/
Place in your zip code and choose the type of service you reckon you would need. It will tell you which service is the cheapest in your area of the country. It’s not owned by any of the cellular services, and it compares them against each other.

if you’re considering tracfone, dont…
try net10, tracfone’s cheaper cousin.
net10 is a subdisary of tracfone (on the net10 brochure (c) 2007 tracfone wireless)
net10
10 cents a minute always.
5 cenhts a text each way.
no unlimited txting.
they need to though.

Artefact no.: 2011.0004
Manufacturer: NoonSolar
Chicago, IL, USA
Date: 2010

The NoonSolar handbag features built-in solar technology used to power devises such as iPods or cell phones. Designed for a person that walks to work or spends time outside, the bag is carried over a shoulder with the solar panel exposed to allow the solar cell to charge a battery.
The panel is based on organic solar cell technology developed at the National Research Council (NRC) in Ottawa. The organic cells are printed on thin films by the same printing technology as Polaroid film.
In the ahead of schedule 2000s, the NRC was approached by Konarka, a US company that wanted to produce solar cells based on NRC's technology. The thin, flexible solar cells were further developed and tested for Konarka who prints the solar cells. Other manufacturers incorporate the cells in a variety of products such as laptop bags, handbags, backpacks, umbrellas, clothing including military applications.

Your best option would doubtless be to buy an unlocked quad band cell phone. This way you can use your phone for service in the US and Pakistan just by switching the sim cards back and forth. The simplest way to find a phone you’re looking for is to go to ebay or just a search engine and search for “unlocked quad band cell phone” and go from there. As far as service goes here in the US you can easily use at&t or t-mobile. In Pakistan you could use Mobilink, Ufone, or Warid Telecom. Hope this helps!

Any cell phone plot that covers both the US and Pakistan will be very expensive in one or the other country. I recommend you use Tmobile or AT&T in the US and when you get to Pakistan use a local provider there with the same phone. AT&T and Tmobile both use GSM networks in the US, which I am pretty sure is the technology that is used in Pakistan. You should be able to get a SIM card from a Pakistan phone company and switch it out when you are there. Depending on how much tim eyou will spend out of the US, you may benefit from a pay as you go plot instead of a flat monthly rate (why pay for time you can not use) Be aware that the phone you get should be a quad band, to be sure it covers the frequencies in Pakistan too. Many US phones are quad band, but some might be tri band or even less if they are low end phones. I do not know what frequencies are used in Pakistan, but there are only 4 total. Quad band phones are sometimes called world phones since they should work with all GSM providers in the world.
Do not get Sprint or Verizon in the US as they use a different cell technology that is only used in the US and Korea mostly. Their phones will nearly certainly not work in Pakistan.

Buy an unlocked tri-band cell phone ( GSM 900/1800/1900)
which has universal travel charger ( input: 100 – 240V – 50/60 HZ. This phone will be excellent for both the countries.
