Cell phones cause more accidents than drunk driving.?

I just heard (from my insurance agent) that cell phones caused more accidents then drunk pouring last year. How do you feel about this and what (if anything) do you reckon should be done? Admittedly this included all accidents from small fender benders to major hurt so were not talking fatalities here.

I get a discount off insurance for not having a cell phone. Yea me!

Doubtless because Drunk Pouring is illegal.

If there were no laws against pouring drunk, it would doubtless be a different tale

That’s right! Texting is really causing most of the accidents. People reckon it’s okay to text because they reckon they can look up as quick as they look down, not right! I’ve really been in a car accident with someone who was texting.

Yes, I can’t count the times someone nearly hit me (even broadside) because they were not paying attention and talking on a cell phone. I pull over to talk on a cell. Also people use either your caution or turn signal to let someone know what your doing when you pull over to use your cell phone. We don’t have ESP.

Right now i have the samsung Highlight through T-Mobile. If I were to order another phone from my account then i would have to pay a lot more that what they are worth ($ 499 for a black berry!) in anticipation of my contract ends. My mom has T-Mobile also and her contract has finished. So if I were to order the phone from her account and use my sim, would it work? (My mom now has the My Touch 3G Fender limited edition and Im wanting to get the T-mobile Sidekick Lx – Carbon if it makes any difference)

You could use her upgrade and phone. She would be locked into another two year contract though. It would arrive through the mail and you just have to house your SIM card into it.
