cell phone service providers in Taiwan?
If I bought a US made cell phone and sold it to someone living in Taiwan, will the cell phone work on their service providers? Will they need to buy a SIM card from Taiwan to make it work?
Answer by Jeff L
GSM,SIM card,frequency 900Hz &1800Hz are by in Taiwan.
If your cell phone contains any of this two frequency,it’s working! But there are numerous service providers company in Taiwan, some of them are by 900Hz some by 1800Hz. So, have to choose what service provider company is suitable for your cell phone.

I HATE Sprint but am obligated to them for the next 2 being. Can I switch my contract to another cellular service without a huge termination fee?

The only way you’d be able to get out is if you can prove that Sprint has somehow breached the contract between you and them, and that’s effectively impossible. There is another way. Head to CellTradeUSA.com. At this site, you can buy and sell cellular phones and their contract. You could place up your contract for sale, and once it’s sold, buy a new one from a provider or pick up someone else’s.

I’m sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the service they had provided you. I know it sucks to be stuck in a 2 year contract and you don’t get the service you expected.
In Sprint’s policy, the Ahead of schedule Termination Fee is not and can’t be prorated. With them, the only way that ETF will be waived is if you tell them that you go out to a different take up everywhere there is no Sprint service. They will check it on their service locator and if indeed there is a coverage hole in that area, they will not charge you ETF if you disconnect.
The previous post discussion about export and promotion phone and contracts. It is a excellent option.
